The Apollo Series 65 Optical Smoke Detector (55000-317APO) is a high-performance conventional detector designed for the early sensing of smouldering fires. Using an internal pulsing LED and photo-diode arrangement, it excels at detecting large-particle smoke-the type typically produced by burning soft furnishings, foam, and electrical insulation.
This optical detector is the industry standard for escape routes, bedrooms, and living areas in residential and commercial buildings. Its ability to ignore transient atmospheric changes while maintaining high sensitivity to smoke makes it a dependable choice for contractors who prioritize both safety and reliability.
